What motivates your desire to give back?
My parents from an early age instilled in me the importance of giving back.
Why are you supporting the medical center? What motivates your philanthropy?
When my wife, Barbara, was diagnosed with breast cancer at St. Jude, they did everything in a compassionate and thorough way to remove the cancer, and now she is over 10 years cancer-free. We have been active contributors ever since.
Why did you agree to join the foundation board?
When I was asked to join the foundation I accepted because I thought my background in finance might be a good fit for the foundation.
